What’s The Best Way To Keep Dentures In Place?

When you have lost your teeth and you are in need of a way to replace them, there are a number of factors that you will need to consider:

1. How Will They Look?

First and foremost, how your teeth look are very important. The aesthetics of replacing teeth need to be taken into account. We make all of our dentures to look and act as if they were your natural teeth. We want your new smile to be natural and beautiful.

2. Are They Comfortable

As well as looking the part, they need to also feel comfortable. Our dentures are custom made to fit your individual’s requirements. Everyone’ mouth is different. How they lost there teeth and how long they have all been missing for can vary. Each slight millimetre and dimension in the mouth can make a huge difference in how comfortable a denture will be. We will make the denture to be precise and snug for extreme comfort.

3. Will They Be Secure?

When we get to this stage you will of had a denture that is not only natural and beautiful looking, but also comfortable. Traditional dentures will stay in place from the suction of sitting on the bone ridges in the mouth. These are a removable option which over time, can start to feel loose as your mouth changes (which is natural). If you had a partial denture it may be possible to offer some stability through the use of precision attachments, which can be secured via adjacent teeth. The gold standard way of stabilising dentures is via implants. These are titanium pegs that are surgically placed by a dentist into your jawbone. The denture is then fitted on top and securely held in place.
