How Will Dental Implants Stabilise My Teeth?

If you have lost your teeth and are looking for a more stable and secure option, then implant retained dentures may be ideal for you.

We are able to custom make dentures for your mouth that are then used to be held in place securely by dental implants. We work with local implant dentists who are able to place the implant into your mouth.

How Do Implants Work

Implants are the next best thing to your natural teeth. Your natural teeth are really made up of two parts, the roots (hidden in your bone) and the crowns (visible part of tooth).

Traditional dentures are made to sit on tops of your gums and are only held in place by the precise fit between gum ridges and denture (causing a suction to hold them in place). Ill fitting dentures will not have a good suction and can therefore not be very stable.

If you went down the implants route, the implants will effectively act as if they were the new roots of your teeth. They are placed at bone level of your jaw and will then be used to anchor in the dentures. The implants have special abutments which are used to secure in your denture.

Once you have had your treatment you will be able to regain the same quality of life that you had previously enjoyed with your natural teeth. You won’t need to be embarrassed about your teeth or worried that they may accidentally fall out while you are eating or talking.
