Merry Christmas – 2016 – What A Year!

Merry Christmas and a happy new year to you all!

It has been another roller coaster of the year but we have made it. We have another year to look forward to.

January is all about reflection and making changes to carry through the year. This can often be hard to achieve and to maintain through the months. If you are not 100% happy with your current dentures then it might be a good time to consider a change. Depending on what problems you are having with your dentures it may be possible to adjust them.

When a denture is first made for us, it is technically a snap shot of that precise moment in time. So as long as our mouths stay the same then the denture will fit and be comfortable. But if our mouths change, then the denture may require to be realigned to our mouths.

If a denture has hairline cracks or missing teeth then these could be a simple denture repair. Even if you snap them in half it can be quite a simple repair as long as the two parts fit nicely together (multiple breaks may not be repairable).

In the worst case scenarios you may require new dentures. If you have had your dentures for many years, then you may be looking for a new denture with better quality materials.

Like all aspects of dentistry, dentures can be fabricated using different materials. The better the quality of the materials, the more expensive the denture will be. So choosing a new denture can be a truly personalised experience where you end up with the treatment you want.
