I’m Worried My Dentures Will Come Out When Eating

Eating is a big part of our lives. Whether your a big fan of different types of food or you prefer a more controlled and minimalist diet, over the course of the day you will eat at least 3 meals a day and likely to snack in between as well.

Eating with your natural teeth doesn’t usually pose any problems. But eating with dentures can be difficult, especially if they are not well fitted to your mouth.

Traditional dentures stay in place by sitting on the bone/gum ridges in your mouth. The natural saliva that is produced and the material of the dentures causes a suction that then holds the dentures in place.

It is important to have a denture that is well made for your mouths as a better fitted denture, will stay in place. If you have an ill fitting denture, it will feel loose and can fall out whilst eating.

At Creating Smiles we work hard with our patients to get them their dream smiles.

The three main areas that make up a custom denture is:

  • Aesthetics
  • Functionality
  • Natural

We understand our patients needs, and we also understand that everyone is different so we treat every patient as an individual.

If you are looking for a more secure option, we also work with local dentists who can place dental implants and the denture is then securely fitted on top.

If you are not sure what the best option for you is, we offer free consultations to assess your needs and discuss what is available for you.
